Perla PReexpandida
The perla Pre-expandida FANOSA (pre-expanded pearl) is produced through the primary expansion of small, pure polystyrene grains in a continuous operation system and fed with water vapor under controlled temperature and pressure; these pearls contain fire retardant additives.
According to the needs, a wide array of pearl densities can be obtained through the manufacturing process, resulting in excellent thermal and electrical resistance properties, a lightweight and floating product, shock absorbent, and low water absorption. Due to these properties, the pearls are extensively used to improved heat insulation and to produce a lightweight, highly resistant, low-cost and high-performance concrete and cement mix.
