Insulplus Board
Insulplus Board is a polystyrene panel available in different densities and sizes of 1.22 meters in width by 2.44 meters in length and thicknesses ranging from 0.5" to 4". It is covered on both sides with either a polypropylene or metal polypropylene film.

It is often said that the ratio between polystyrene and polyurethane is 2 to 1. What is the correct parameter?
The ratio between polystyrene and polyurethane is 1.45 to 1, that is, for each inch of polyurethane 1.5 inches of polystyrene are needed, according to the values provided by the ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers). In terms of the polyurethane and polystyrene conductivity stated by ASHRAE, we have: 0.26/0.18=1.45 times. This result represents the thickness equivalent to polystyrene in terms of an inch of polyurethane.
Does the polystyrene foam wears out because of age, or does it lose its insulating properties?
Polystyrene is not affected in of its properties by humidity, so, degradation does not exist. The use of polystyrene to preserve different products assures there is no degradation on the material.
