Construpanel
Construpanel FANOSA is a modular building panel made of polystyrene strips and black-polished steel wiring in a reticular mesh and zig-zag shape; it is covered with mortar or with concrete on both sides in order to obtain a lightweight rigid element of great resistance and structural capacity. It also meets the Mexican Norm NMX-C-405-1997-ONNCCE with respect to structural panels used in walls and ceilings.
One important aspect of Construpanel FANOSA is the performance of the elements (walls and slabs) as a whole; there are no structurally speaking weak elements because such elements are interconnected, so they share the loads generated in the structure. That is, since walls and slabs are made of the same kind of material, there are no differences in terms of structural capacities and characteristics; in contrast, other systems do have behavioral and composition differences among walls and slabs.

What sizes and thicknesses are available for construpanel?
There are standard sizes of 1.22m (4') in width and 2.44m (8') in height with thicknesses of 2", 3" and 4".
How can the construpanel be installed in a new construction job?
It can be placed in two different ways. First, 3/8" rods can be left anchored on the foundation slabs with the appropriate space giving us the structural calculation; and second, through galvanized steel cutting receivers on caliber 14 and affixed to the foundation slabs through nails.
How and where are mesh accessories for the panel placed, and what are the available sizes?
They are 3 accessories with a length of 1.22 meters (4'): flat mesh, "L" mesh and "U" mesh. The flat mesh has width of 20 cm. and is suitable for joining, on both sides, two panels to each other on walls or ceilings; the "L" mesh also has a width of 20 cm. and an "L" shape which is good to reinforce interior and exterior corners and the joining of wall panels to ceiling panels; finally, the "U" mesh has a width of 30 cm. and is suitable to reinforce the cuts in hollow parts of doors, windows and cantilevers.
What are the main advantages found in construpanel?
The lightening of buildings due to dead weight reductions if compared to other traditional systems, easier handling because of its lightweight, excellent seismic resistance, high thermal resistance, helps self-builders, flexibility to modulate and to be pre-assembled, compatibility and adaptability to traditional building materials, easily hides electric and water installations, saves working time if compared to traditional materials, none or minimum use of loads and chains due the monolithic building nature, flexibility in cutting in order to match architectural designs, and finally, it uses very few accessories for its installation.
